Brian Johnson is an Electrical Field Engineer with the Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute (PSFEI). With more than 12 years of industry experience, Johnson’s responsibilities include electrical distribution testing, assessments, troubleshooting, and project consultation. His areas of expertise include electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and electrical safety. Prior to joining PSFEI, Johnson was employed by Emerson Network Power, where his focus was on electrical distribution system maintenance and testing, as well as electrical engineering studies for power generation plants, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, and data centers. He also served in the U.S. Navy, during which time he was responsible for electrical system operations and maintenance for the Navy’s nuclear power plants. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and MBA from Penn State. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
