Tim Emmick is a Facility Condition Assessment Specialist with the Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute (PSFEI). His responsibilities include conducting facility condition assessments with an emphasis on the building envelope, structural systems, and accessibility components. Emmick brings 20 years of experience in construction management and building inspections to PSFEI and has an in-depth knowledge of building codes and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Before joining PSFEI, he owned and operated Homewright Solutions, providing certified home inspections as a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), radon testing (licensed with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection), and a variety of other services to homeowners within the State College area. As a home inspector, Emmick leveraged the extensive experience he gained in the construction industry managing and supervising building projects for many years, first in the Washington, DC metro area and later in State College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering ( MEng) in Architectural Engineering, both from Penn State.
