Effective Facility Operations and Maintenance

PSFEI is excited to offer the Effective Facility Operations & Maintenance (EFOM) course this spring! While no prerequisites are required for any of our courses, EFOM serves as the natural progression in your facilities knowledge journey, especially if you have already completed our Facility Infrastructure Fundamentals Training (FIFT) course. While FIFT provides an overview of building systems and their complex interactions, EFOM takes a deeper dive into the practicalities of overseeing and sustaining these systems to ensure optimal and safe facility operations. Course instructors will cover best maintenance practices for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and elevator systems, providing guidance through maintenance requirements of specific pieces of equipment within the facility. This course will also cover operations and maintenance (O&M) best practices for your building automation system (BAS), building envelope, and office products, along with keys for establishing a successful Emergency Management program.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a certificate of completion will be awarded for 100 percent attendance and participation. This course will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Lunch will be provided on all three days.
