Paul Meister, P.E.

Paul Meister is an Energy Management Consultant with the Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute (PSFEI). His responsibilities include natural gas commodity procurement, utility tariff rate investigations, and energy education. His specialties include institutional energy cost efficiency and demand-side management of hydrocarbon fuels with emphasis on economic analysis of fuel switching. Serving more than 38 years in the engineering field, Meister has extensive experience in the natural gas business as well as municipal water/wastewater engineering. Prior to joining PSFEI in 2004, Meister served as Project Manager for Uni-Tec Consulting Engineers in State College, Pennsylvania. His past experience includes roles with Peoples Natural Gas Company, Marathon Oil Company, and Meridian Exploration Company. Meister also serves as an adjunct instructor with the School of Engineering Design, Technology, and Professional Programs (SEDTAPP) at Penn State. He holds a Master of Science in petroleum engineering from Montana Tech, a Master of Engineering from Penn State, and is a licensed Professional Environmental Engineer in Pennsylvania.
