Effective Facility Management (Year 3)—Facility Management Tools
June 27– 29
Join us for one of the most successful programs offered by the Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute (PSFEI)—the Effective Facility Management short course, a three-year series of courses that provide an orderly progression of topics to enhance the knowledge, skills, abilities, and effectiveness of facility management personnel.
This year's course, Effective Facility Management Year 3, focuses on specific tools to help you be an effective facility manager. Do you know how to manage your assets in a sustainable environment? Are you familiar with new sustainable technologies? How do you handle your maintenance backlog? Should you insource or outsource your maintenance needs? Is your facility Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant? If you want to learn more about these topics, this is the course for you. Although suited for intermediate and higher-level facility personnel, entry-level managers who want to enhance their management skills will also find this course beneficial.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a certificate of completion will be awarded for 100 percent attendance and participation. Participants who complete the three-year program (Years 1, 2, and 3 in any sequence) will be awarded with a plaque. This course will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
