Facility Infrastructure Fundamentals Training

Facility Infrastructure Fundamentals Training

The Facility Infrastructure Fundamentals Training (FIFT) course is designed for facilities professionals who may not have a technical background. FIFT invites participants to explore building systems and their complex interactions through lectures, interactive case studies, exhibits, experiments, and onsite tours of building systems. FIFT provides an overview of building systems that are often perceived to be the most complex. During this course, we will explore fundamentals of electrical, elevator, fire protection, and mechanical systems.

The goal of this course is to teach concepts in a way that will enable participants to understand and speak the same language as the contractors and technicians who maintain their facilities.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a certificate of completion will be awarded for 100 percent attendance and particpation. This course will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
