Paul Moser, P.E., is a mechanical engineer with the Penn State Facilities Engineering Institute (PSFEl) with a primary focus on central heating plants. Paul returns to PSFEI after serving as the superintendent of steam services at Penn State University Park for more than 20 years. His background and experience include defense nuclear engineering support; utility power consulting; and wide range of knowledge on steam systems, fluid systems, boiler control and instrumentation systems, fuels and fuel handling systems, and all other equipment associated with heating plants. He is well versed in staffing, maintenance, operations, safety, and project work associated with central plants and distribution. Other areas of expertise include boiler emissions and air quality regulations, troubleshooting, data acquisition systems, and data analysis. Moser holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
